Predicted Leeds United line-up to face Swansea City in the Championship

Leeds United will look to continue their winning start to the season when they visit Swansea City this Tuesday night. Marcelo Bielsa’s men beat Rotherham United 2-0 at the Elland Road to make it three wins out of three. They have played football which has attracted interest from many around the world.

The Peacocks will face a Swansea team who have had a decent start to their campaign as well. Graham Potter’s men have collected 7 out of the 9 available points so far. The newly relegated team will be keen to offer a stern test to Bielsa and his men.

Team News

Bearing in mind that Leeds play a high-intensity passing football under their new manager, it will be interesting to see whether they play with their best eleven. Although the fact that facing Swansea away from home is always a touchy encounter, we may witness pretty much the same team taking the field at the Liberty Stadium.

Leeds do not have any lingering injury issues from the last game unless any last-minute knock is picked up by any player.

Probable Leeds United XI

Manager: Marcelo Bielsa

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Peacock Bailey-Farrell (GK)

The goalkeeper was solid in the previous game and is expected to stay in the team as the first-choice shot-stopper.

Luke Ayling (RB)

The impressive right-back has been a key member thus far. He has done a lot of running and the manager may continue to have him in the line-up.

Gaetano Berardi (2nd from right)

Gaetano Berardi (CB)

Berardi has performed well so far despite the centre-back position being unnatural to him. Pontus Jansson maybe the option for Bielsa, however, the gaffer might want to continue with the winning combination.

Liam Cooper (CB)

The skipper will have to up his game a bit if he is to keep his place in the team. Bielsa may well provide him with more opportunities.

Barry Douglas (LB)

Acquired this summer, Douglas has been pivotal for Leeds with his forward runs and wicked deliveries into the box.

Kalvin Phillips (CDM)

Has been a composed figure in central midfield, shielding the defence and ticking the game over with neat passing. He is expected to continue performing that role.

Mateusz Klich (CM)

Klich has developed himself into a vital component in Bielsa’s team and it will be very hard to drop him for any league game when he is fit and available.

Samuel Saiz (CAM)

Another player who has upped his game this season, Saiz’s use of the ball and work-rate is commendable.

Pablo Hernandez

Pablo Hernandez (LW)

The creator-in-chief will look to continue doing the good work and be an attacking outlet for the team from the left-hand channel.

Ezgjan Alioski (RW)

The Macedonian has been impressive so far, and needs to be at his best against a good Swansea team.

Kemar Roofe (ST)

The striker has developed himself into a potent finisher, along with the work-rate to press the opposition during the build-up. A sure starter.
