Rowett to make 1 important change – Predicted 3-4-2-1 Derby County XI to face Aston Villa

Predicted Derby County XI To Face Aston Villa In The EFL Championship

Derby County played an incredible game against Cardiff on Tuesday and it has put them back in contention for one of those playoff places. However, this is the Championship. The games come thick and fast and Derby must win against Aston Villa if they are to stay in 6th place.

They come up against an Aston Villa side who have won four of their last five games. It is a big game for both sides.

Probable Derby County XI

Manager: Gary Rowett

Formation: 3-4-2-1

Scott Carson (GK)

Looked comfortable against Cardiff apart from the goal that he conceded. He’s always commanding and bosses his defence well.

Andre Wisdom (RWB)

Wisdom had an excellent game at right wing-back against Cardiff and grabbed two assists for his team. It was in direct contrast to his performance against Middlesbrough and it’ll be interesting to see which is the real Andre Wisdom.

Curtis Davies (CB)

Davies looked to be at his best against Cardiff and will be hoping to finish the season well.

Andre Wisdom

Richard Keogh (CB)

Keogh has had the responsibility of stepping out of the defence with the ball in the last couple of games and on Tuesday, it went very well for him as he helped create from the back.

Craig Forsyth (CB)

Since coming back into the squad, Forsyth has been excellent as a part of the back-three.

Andreas Weimann (LWB)

Weimann has played here in the last two games after Olsson had not played well and the winger seems to fit in here.

Bradley Johnson

Bradley Johnson (CM)

Johnson had a good game against Cardiff but needs to be a midfield enforcer in this formation.

Tom Huddlestone (CM)

Huddlestone was his usual self against Cardiff and passed the ball excellently, allowing the wing-backs to get forward. Will be looking for more of the same.

Tom Lawrence (AMC)

Lawrence had another excellent game against Cardiff and is really in a rich vein of form. Always looks dangerous when running at the opposition defence.

Matej Vydra

Matej Vyrda (AMC)

Vydra came on against Cardiff and got an absolutely vital goal. The league’s top-scorer always looks more comfortable when he plays in his favourite position just behind the striker.

Cameron Jerome (ST)

Jerome came into the squad to replace Nugent and had an absolutely fantastic game against Cardiff. Will be looking to prove himself even more in these final few games of the season.
