Rowett to make 1 big change – Predicted 4-2-3-1 Derby County lineup to face Norwich

Predicted Derby County Lineup To Face Norwich City In The EFL Championship

Gary Rowett and his Derby County team couldn’t be on a better run right now. They are 11 games unbeaten and got over their ‘drawing’ slump by beating Brentford 3-0 last time out. They sit 2nd in the table with the highest number of points that they have had in quite a few years in the Championship.

Despite all this, they only sit 1 point above Aston Villa who are also on an incredible run themselves. As the pressure on Derby mounts, they must keep getting points on the board and their game against Norwich this weekend is no different. Derby have no new injury concerns and go into this weekend full of confidence. But they will have to be at their very best to beat a tough Norwich side.

Probable Derby XI

Manager: Gary Rowett

Formation: 4-2-3-1

GK – Scott Carson

Recently signed a new contract and always comes up with one amazing save during a game. Part of a very successful defensive unit.

RB – Andre Wisdom

Often finds himself as the ‘extra man’ in an attacking sense, and is solid and dependable in defence.

CB – Curtis Davies

The ex-Hull City player carries on his excellent form at the centre of Derby’s defence. His calming influence keeps them ticking over.

Andre Wisdom

CB – Richard Keogh

The talismanic leader of the Derby County team who would run through brick walls to see his beloved team in the Premier League, a real fan favourite.

LB – Marcus Olsson

The only part of the back line to change in recent weeks, Olsson has won his place back from Craig Forsyth. He is a threat going forward.

CM – Tom Huddlestone

Last weekend, Huddlestone got his first goal for Derby despite making his debut for the club 14 years ago, quite a wait.

CM – George Thorne

Thorne has been given his first decent run in the side since coming back from injury and has provided some solid performances in the middle of the park.

RW – Kasey Palmer

The Chelsea youth product will be the only change to a Derby team that picks itself but his ability to unlock a defence will be important against a strong Norwich defence.

Tom Lawrence

CF – Matej Vydra

Derby’s top scorer is only getting better and was a stand out performer in last weekend’s victory. He will be looking to cause the damage again.

LW – Tom Lawrence

He has been asked by his manager to ‘play through’ his bad patch of form that he is currently in, but he can still cause problems for any defence.

ST – Cameron Jerome

Should keep his place after scoring his first goal for the Rams and will be looking to score against his former club.
