Rowett to make 1 big change – Predicted 4-2-3-1 Derby County lineup to face Bristol City

Predicted Derby County Lineup To Face Bristol City In The EFL Championship

Derby go into this weekend’s tantalising clash with Bristol City in top form having seen off Birmingham City 3-0 away, to confirm 2nd place in the league.

New signing Cameron Jerome is likely to go straight into the side at Pride Park, spearheading the attack which contains in-form players such as Matej Vydra. Once more, Rowett is likely to deploy his troops in a 4-2-3-1 formation, most likely containing the following eleven personnel:

Probable Derby XI

GK – Scott Carson

Solid and reliable, Carson is the face of quality in the Championship and remains No.1 in Derby.

RB – Andre Wisdom

Perhaps doesn’t quite match up to the quality shown in this role by the departed Cyrus Christie in all honesty, though he is decent and may get another start at right-back.

CB – Richard Keogh

The experienced centre-back is still going strong and is liable to keep his partnership with Davies going.

Andre Wisdom

CB – Curtis Davies

The former Hull defender is still showing off his supreme ability at this level and if anything, he should still be playing Premier League football. In time, he may be doing that with Derby.

LB – Craig Forsyth

Doing his bit to get Derby over the promotion line at long last and is more than likely to once again take his place in the starting XI.

CM – Tom Huddlestone

The ex-England man retains plenty of ability and can pass Derby to another victory.

CM – George Thorne

The Rams have options in this position but Thorne is working well with Huddlestone and should line-up alongside the former Hull City man.

RW – Johnny Russell

Very much a part of this quality front four and should be able to creep inside from the right and cause major problems for Flint and Baker.

Matej Vydra

CAM – Matej Vydra

Really doing the business these days in this position and remains the main danger to the opposition, especially given that Bristol City will want to attack and leave space in behind.

LW – Tom Lawrence

The former Ipswich loanee has real quality in the context of this division and is bound to play again in what is now a really good looking front four.

ST – Cameron Jerome

Derby have needed a more prolific striker in this position for some time and Jerome is at least proven at this level.  Jerome has just one league goal this season but scored 16 and 20 league goals in his previous two Championship campaigns.
