Revealed: This Arsenal “Traitor” Rejected Wenger’s Transfer Advice

Share

Samir Nasri who currently plays at Sevilla on-loan from Manchester City reveals he did not listen to his then-manager Arsene Wenger when he left Arsenal in 2011. Since the attacker left the Emirates he has won two Premier Leagues titles over the years with a mixed bag of performances.

The Frenchman was labeled as a “traitor” and was a victim to extreme harsh criticism when he left the club.

“Leonardo wanted me at Inter Milan and then at PSG and Wenger told me to go to PSG,” he explained.

“I did not want to at the time and then they bought Pastore.” he admits.

Inconsistency has been one of Nasri’s biggest problems and those inconsistent performances have seen him being loaned out to Sevilla this term by new Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola.

Although his English team could do with some of the good form Nasri is in this season, the 29-year-old has scored thrice and notched up one assist in 10 appearances.

The ex-Marseille player was, however, kind enough to reject PSG though, “PSG, I don’t think I could do that,” he added, probably due to his ties with rivals Marseille.
