The Chelsea-bound striker has been enjoying a great loan spell at Villa Park this season, breaking the clubs record by scoring 26 goals in a single season.
The English striker played a major role behind the Lions’ qualification for the Championship playoffs.
Now, with his contract set to end up this summer, the Villains aren’t ready to let go of their star striker.
The Lions will play West Bromwich Albion in the Playoff semi-final and they feel Abraham will be of great use should they play in the Premier League next season.
Dean Smith’s men ended up winners in the first leg and the second one is due up next.

“The aim is 30 goals and I will keep going. It has been a fantastic season, everyone has supported me and believed in me,”
“We are halfway there, we still have a massive game against West Brom on Tuesday. We have a great side and we will just have to find a way to beat them.”
Earlier, Abraham admitted his current form would earn him a place in the Blues first-team in the upcoming season.
The 22-year-old has been loaned to various clubs over the course of his career after failing to cement his position in the Blues’ first-team.
Alongside Abraham, Jack Grealish has also been instrumental behind Villa’s successful run.
The English midfielder is wanted by top Premier League clubs Crystal Palace and Tottenham.
