According to a report in Sky Sports, Rangers manager Steven Gerrard has revealed that the club is close to signing USA international midfielder Matt Polster, who currently plies his trade in the MLS with Chicago Fire.
The player impressed in the trial with the Gers and the manager confirmed that they were in talks over a long-term deal for the 25-year-old. Polster is a versatile player who can play in the midfield as well as at right-back (h/t Sky Sports).
