Rangers News: Steven Gerrard brimming with confidence as he takes a look back at his first season at Ibrox

The Former Liverpool star is set to end the campaign with no silverware, although, there were signs of progress with the Gers.

However, he couldn’t put an end to Celtic’s reign in Glasgow, as the Light Blues’ long-running trophy drought continued for another season.

Now, Gerrard has said that he is brimming with confidence and also hopeful of the future.

But now as I sit here, one year in the job, I’m a lot more confident.

“It was obviously a huge job and a huge challenge. I think there’s been progress made in certain areas.

Gerrard also admitted that the Gers had downfalls in certain aspects and he will look to rectify them in the future.

He said that he loved every game at Ibrox.

“I’ve loved every minute of it. It’s obviously been a journey of highs and lows, just like I expected. It always is whether you are a player, a coach or a manager.

The Light Blues had some notable moments that include the Old Firm derby win at Ibrox, the revelation that is Alfredo Morelos, and some promising signings made in the January transfer window.

After suffering a slight dip in form, the Gers were able to bounce back with a string of wins.
