Puel to make 1 important change – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Leicester City lineup to face Bournemouth

Predicted Leicester City Lineup To Face Bournemouth In The Premier League

City host AFC Bournemouth on Saturday in gameweek 29 of the Premier League as they seek victory after having dropped points in each of their last four matches, three of them being more than winnable by their standards. Despite their sub-standard form, Claude Puel’s side remain in 8th place, one point worse off Burnley and four ahead of this week’s opponents, who are on 32 points.

An astonishing fact is that the Foxes have never secured a fruitful result against the Cherries, as they have drawn four and lost one in their PL meetings. This time too, they have to be careful since Bournemouth have found the back of the net in each of their previous 9 league matches. However, their home form reflects supremacy, because they have lost just one out of their last eight games.

Team News

Shinji Okazaki and Robert Huth are racing against time to get the nod but remain doubtful for the match. Otherwise, Puel has a full-strength squad to choose from.

Probable Leicester XI

Puel should plot a similar XI to the one that collected a point against Stoke City, as the order is made quite clear in terms of selection. With a 4-2-3-1 formation, the Foxes will be desperate to get on the winning side again.

Manager: Claude Puel

Formation: 4-2-3-1

GK: Kasper Schmeichel

Schmeichel will start in goal for the Foxes. He has been putting up some polished performances recently if one horrendous outing is ignored.

RB: Danny Simpson

Simpson should play at right-back. He knows exactly how to exploit the space and is otherwise disciplined at the back.

CB: Wes Morgan

Morgan will lead the side from the heart of the defence. He is quite outstanding in blocking the shots and sending passes away.

Harry Maguire

CB: Harry Maguire

Maguire will accompany Morgan in defence. He has been in excellent form and is expected to continue in same vein.

LB: Ben Chilwell

Chilwell has impressed big time this season and hence, should be given the nod over Fuchs. He is energetic, pacy and whips crosses in with some fizz.

CDM: Matty James

James should play as the defensive midfielder. He needs to lock a few spaces and not leave the central area free during possession.

CM: Wilfried Ndidi

Needs to forget his mistake, brush it aside and come back into this game. Ndidi is hard-working, quick to read the game and is an able midfielder.

RW: Riyad Mahrez

The want-away winger has found his place back in the XI and should retain his spot. If Mahrez gets going in the final third of the pitch, we could be in for an evening full of beautiful footwork and football.

Jamie Vardy

CAM: Fousseni Diabate

Diabate should make his way into the starting lineup as Gray hardly made the ball talk in the previous outing. The youngster has risen to the limelight well and is a fantastic prospect.

LW: Marc Albrighton

Albrighton will play down the left flank. His work rate, quick thinking and understanding with Mahrez and Vardy is a gift to this team.

ST: Jamie Vardy

Vardy will lead the line. His record against the Cherries is decent as he has netted twice against them and yet the again, the task will be on his shoulders to win it for his side.
