Paris Saint Germain have pulled off a whooping 60 million euros deal for A.C Milan duo  Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovich.

Milan chief executive Adriano Galliani has long wanted to offload the pair. This deal not only reduces their heavy debt but also removes two players whose salaries are very high on the wage bill. It is believed that Ibrahimovic had been earning a reported  €12m a year while Thiago Silva is paid a yearly sum of  over €6m.

Ibrahimovic’s agent, Mino Raiola, met with AC Milan CEO Adriano Galliani on Wednesday and then headed to the French capital for talks with PSG director Leonardo on Thursday. It was then reported by French newspaper L’Equipe that the Sweden striker had agreed to the move in principle and Berlusconi has now confirmed the news.

“Yes, I’ve sold Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to PSG,” he told Sky Sport 24.

“We will save €154 million over two years.

Milan will be eager to replace undoubtedly their biggest stars from the last few seasons with the likes of edin dzeko, andy carrol and carlos tevez all linked with the club.
