Predicted Tottenham Line Up To Face Leicester: 7 Stars Return To First Team After FA Cup Draw

Share

The recent 2-2 draw this weekend against Leicester really means Spurs would want to make things right on Wednesday. Spurs dominated the full game and yet needed a last gasp controversial penalty to secure the replay, but will be hoping to field a much stronger 11 and get the 3 points in a more convincing manner.

Goal Keeper:

Hugo Lloris will come back between the sticks and take the captains arm band back from Danny Rose. Spurs do have a great back up in Vorm but Lloris will be a much welcome change.

Defenders:

Kyle Walker will take the position back from Trippier. The England U-21 international has had quite a few good games recently but will be fatigued and surely Walker will be preferred. Alderweireld though will be in the center of defence along with fellow country man, Jan Vertonghen. Both are one of the top 5 defenders this season in the Premier League. It will be tough competition for the left back spot between Davies and Rose, but the Welshman will be starting on Wednesday after being rested.

Midfielders & Forward:

Dier will be partnered in the center midfield role with Alli. The 19 year old will be back in the starting XI after not starting the FA Cup game and surely will look to continue his goal scoring touch. The front trio behind the striker would be Lamela, Eriksen and Son. Eriksen and Lamela will be on the flanks while there is no doubt as to who will be the striker. No points for the correct answer, Harry Kane will start and this time, hoping to score more than just a controversial penalty. A draw is quite likely, but I would go with a Spurs win, a close one.
