Predicted 4-3-3 Liverpool Lineup To Face West Ham United In The Premier League

Premier League is set to resume this weekend following the FA Cup fixtures. Liverpool and West Ham United, two teams having already been knocked out of the domestic cup competition, will be back in action on Saturday afternoon at Anfield.

Liverpool were utterly dominant on the road and registered a thumping 4-1 triumph at London Stadium earlier in the season. They are the outfit high on confidence following a gigantic 5-0 win against FC Porto in the Champions League round of 16 first leg clash and will be determined to continue their winning run against the Hammers in order to have a grip on a ‘top four’ finish.

Team News

The Reds do not have any significant injury concerns and Nathaniel Clyne, their only long-term absentee, is back in training after recovering from a back injury.

Formation: 4-3-3

Jurgen Klopp was experimental with his formations earlier this season but has settled to a usual 4-3-3 set-up and is likely to continue with the same against the Hammers.

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Loris Karius (GK)

The young German custodian has been promoted as club’s No.1, replacing Simon Mignolet, and has been impressive of late with steady outings between the sticks. He should start the weekend’s game against the Hammers.

Joe Gomez (RB)

Although teenager Trent Alexander-Arnold did an exceptional job during Gomez’s injury absence, Joe is now back in action and likely to be restored in his right-back slot on Saturday evening.

Joe Gomez

Joel Matip (CB)

Klopp has rotated his central defensive options to find a proper combination and it is likely to be Matip’s turn to partner Van Dijk, replacing Dejan Lovren, as the Croatian was preferred against FC Porto last midweek.

Virgil Van Dijk (CB)

Has really settled in well since his January move from Southampton and is slowly bringing back Liverpool’s long gone defensive stability with some persistent performances.

Andrew Robertson (LB)

Robertson is proving to be a bargain buy who has grabbed his opportunities remarkably and made himself irreplaceable on the left flank. He has shown his defensive composure along with timely runs and attacking contribution. The Scot is thus likely to retain his place.

Jordan Henderson (CDM)

The skipper was rested against Southampton but is likely to return to the starting lineup and continue to dominate the midfield game with his experience, vision and combative nature.

Emre Can (CM)

Can missed the Porto clash due to suspension but is likely to be back in the playing XI and start the game in the middle of the park.

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM)

The Dutchman has not been at his very best this term but delivered a stellar performance against Porto in the Champions League tie. He is expected to retain his place.

Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah (RW)

The Egyptian sensation has been a revelation and is up and running for the Premier League Golden Boot award alongside Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero. Salah has netted 30 goals in 36 outings across competitions and will be looking to increase the number when he faces West Ham United on Saturday afternoon.

Sadio Mane (LW)

The Senegalese wingman was struggling to rediscover his form but is now back in business with a hat-trick against Porto and is set to terrorise the Hammers backline from the left flank.

Roberto Firmino (ST)

The Brazilian attacker has not only adapted well to a No. 9 role but has also added more value to it with his work rate, intelligence, and creativity. He has already bagged 21 goals in all competitions this term and will be keen on adding more to his name.
