Possible Germany Lineup vs Argentina – Arsenal Star To Start In Wings

Share

The stage is set then both the teams in what will be a exhilarating World Cup final. A repeat of the 1986 and 1990 final, Germany and Argentina go head to head for the coveted crown. The Die Mannschaft will be looking to add their elusive fourth crown in the grandest of stages while the La Albiceleste would be eager not to let go this opportunity to add to their two titles. So who eventually will rule the Maracana and where would the solid gold trophy headed to? Berlin or Buenos Aires? As the two teams go toe toe, fist for fist we provide our readers with the  Possible Germany lineup against Argentina.

Germany

Goalkeeping and Defense:

Manuel Neuer seems to be unbeatable in this World Cup and the Bayern Munich number one will be looking to keep his form in tact for one more match as the Die Mannschaft seek the coveted World Cup crown. Neuer’s audacious goalkeeping is revolutionizing the art of the sweeper keeper but he will be aware of Argentina’s attacking prowess in the final despite the Albiceleste not being at their best in the showpiece event. The German ‘s composed presence under the sticks will augur well for Joachim Loew’s side as the Europeans will aim for their fourth World Cup crown.

Jerome Boateng should shift back to the central defense while Howedes moves back to the left back slot, fully aware that he has the biggest game on his hands coming up against Lionel Messi on the flanks. Phillip Lahm might again be released of his midfield duties to play in the right back slot. Mats Hummels slots in the central defense with Boateng and their biggest task would be to stop Gonzalo Higuain and Ezequiel Lavezzi who will draft in more centrally from the wide.

Midfield:

kroos

Bastian Schweinstieger and Tony Kroos alongside Real Madrid’s Sami Khedira will hold fort in midfield in what seems an attacking 4-3-3 setup as Loew’s side will look to win the midfield battle.  Arsenal’s Mesut Ozil starts out wide on the right while Mario Gotze will have to be contended with a spot on the sidelines. While Muller will drop deep from the central role, their decoy runs from the flanks by staying narrow will make more space for the overlapping wingbacks.

Strikeforce:

klose

Miros Klose is regaining the old that has earned him the title of the Fox in the box in the past decade and the current Lazio striker who now holds the record for the most goals in the World Cup history seems in no mood of stopping. With Thomas Muller daring in the centre from the right, Germany would look to hunt in pairs to break down an Argentina defense that admirably hasn’t conceded in the knockout stages of the World Cup. Mario Gotze could make a late appearance from the bench if the Germans resort to plan B in their quest to break down the Albiceleste backline.
