Wigan Athletic host Hull City in the Championship on Tuesday as Paul Cook’s men attempt to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat at Brentford.

A 10-man Wigan were comprehensively beaten by Brentford and Cook will expect his boys to come out all guns blazing from the first blow of the whistle against Hull, who defeated Ipswich Town 2-0 at home on Saturday.

Gavin Massey has had a surgery on his hamstring and will be sidelined for three to four months. Dan Burn missed the defeat at Brentford but is close to returning to the squad.

However, Wigan were given a triple injury boost when Darron Gibson, Michael Jacobs and Joe Garner started the game against Brentford on the bench.

Meanwhile, Wigan will appeal against the red card shown to Sam Morsy in the 2-0 defeat at Brentford.
