Predicted Arsenal Line-up To Face Swansea City In The Premier League
Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal put Everton to the sword in the league last weekend and backed it up with an extra-time victory over Norwich City in the League Cup earlier this week. The Gunners are back in action this weekend, as they face a Swansea side, that lost to Leicester City in the previous weekend of the competition.
The Gunners have been inconsistent this season but have a chance to pick up their 4th win on the trot in different competitions.
Team News
In early team news, the likes of Shkodran Mustafi, Calum Chambers, Santi Cazorla and Danny Welbeck remain sidelined for this game. David Ospina remains the only other absentee for this game.
Formation: 3-4-3
Manager: Arsene Wenger
GK – Petr Cech
After being rested for the League Cup, Cech is expected to get back to the starting XI this weekend.
CB – Laurent Koscielny
The French international had an impressive game against Everton and is expected to start on the right-hand side of the 3-man backline.
CB – Per Mertesacker
The injury to Mustafi has seen Mertesacker cement a place at the heart of the Arsenal backline and should keep his place for this game.
CB – Nacho Monreal
The Spaniard has been effective in a make-shift role and Wenger should stick with him on the left-hand side of the back-3 for his side.
RWB – Hector Bellerin
Though Nelson has been effective, Bellerin remains the first choice at wing-back for Wenger and will start against the Swans.
CM – Granit Xhaka
The Swiss international has been inconsistent this season but will hope to have a comfortable game against a misfiring Swansea.
CM – Aaron Ramsey
The Welsh international is one of the first names on Arsenal’s team sheet. He’s been playing well this season and is a sure starter.
LWB – Sead Kolasinac
The summer signing for Arsenal has settled in well and has looked solid so far. But he will have to start putting in some impressive performances to prove his worth.
RW – Mesut Ozil
After finding the back of the net against Everton, Ozil will be high on confidence and will hope to have a similar outing.
LW – Alexis Sanchez
The Chilean is slowly starting to find his feet and will be the danger man to the visitors this weekend.
ST – Alexandre Lacazette
Lacazette remains the first choice striker for Wenger, who will be able to field his strongest attacking lineup for the second week running.
