Nuno Espirito Santo To Make 3 Changes – Predicted 3-4-3 Wolves Line-Up To Face Bristol City

Predicted Wolves Line-up To Face Bristol City In EFL Championship

Wolves go on relentlessly at the top of the league though they were held to a 2-2 draw at Millwall with some pundits predicting they would be so before kick-off.

The reason for the sudden relative lack of confidence is because of the average age of Wolves’ young Portuguese and Brazilian players. They have tons of ability but they will have to cope with the sort of schedule that the EFL throws at them and so Nuno Santo will need to rotate things.

Wolves face a very tough trip to Ashton Gate and so the coach will not want to leave too many big-hitters out. So with that in mind, he tended to play them all during the Millwall match but swapped them around during the game.

Ivan Cavaleiro and Willy Boly are major doubts for this game and may miss out along with Ryan Bennett, with Leo Bonatini and Danny Batth coming in. Whatever may the starting line-up be, it’ll be the 3-4-3 / 5-2-3 formation they usually play and all three substitutions should be made.

Probable Wolves XI

GK – John Ruddy

No reason to think the regular stopper won’t be involved again.

CB – Danny Batth

Still a top defender in this division and perhaps in line to replace Bennett.

CB – Conor Coady

The main man in this defensive line-up. Should start this game.

Conor Coady

CB – Roderick Miranda

Roderick replaced Willy Boly for 20 minutes last time but may start this game as Boly is a doubt for this game.

RWB – Matt Doherty

Another tireless display up and down right-hand side is needed here with Joe Bryan occupying the same areas for Bristol City and being the main danger.

LWB – Barry Douglas

The wing-backs will need a break at some point so watch out for Vinagre potentially coming on to replace Douglas if things go well.

CM – Romain Saiss

Scored last time out and will be needed in the midfield for this intriguing clash.

CM – Ruben Neves

Neves above all others will need a break at some point given his age, but for now, may continue alongside Saiss in what is a tough match.

Leo Bonatini

RW – Helder Costa

Potentially another start for Costa who was the main man last campaign. But he has rather slipped behind Jota and Cavaleiro this time.

LW – Diogo Jota

Started up front in South London and scored too, but will probably revert to his usual position for this one.

ST – Leo Bonatini

Introduced from the bench at Millwall but is likely to start in the No.9 position at Ashton Gate. I get the feeling Wolves will need a goal from him this time.
