Predicted Rangers Lineup To Face Partick Thistle In The Scottish Premiership
Glasgow Rangers will be looking to bounce back from a humiliating defeat to Hibernian last weekend by closing the gap on Aberdeen and Celtic on Tuesday Night. They travel to Partick Thistle aware that they cannot lose any more ground in the race for second place. Graham Murty and his side would have been disappointed to have not taken advantage of Celtic’ s loss to Kilmarnock and will be feeling the pressure with the gap between them and Aberdeen now standing at 6 points.
Probable Rangers XI
Formation: 4-2-3-1
GK – Wes Foderingham
The Rangers stopper will be looking to keep a clean sheet, after getting 2 in his last 4 outings.
LB – Declan John
The strong dependable Welsh left-back will be looking to make his 22nd appearance of the season.
CB – Fabio Cardoso
Cardoso may replace David Bates who is struggling with a knock. The Portuguese defender will get his chance next to Russell Martin.
CB – Russell Martin
Martin has settled very quickly into life at Ibrox and is a defensive leader for the Gers. May take the armband this game.
RB – James Tavernier
The Englishman should keep his place for this game and will be looking to put in an improved performance after the weekend loss to Hibs.
CM – Sean Goss
Goss scored on the weekend and will be looking to take his good form into the game against Partick.
CM – Greg Docherty
After Jason Holt did not have a great day against Neil Lennon’s side, new signing Docherty could start in the engine room.
LW – Jamie Murphy
Jamie Murphy will be looking to be more useful at linking the play in this game, and will aim to get the better of the Partick defenders.
CAM – Josh Windass
Still in great form after his performance in the cup but he will be looking to have more impact than what he did against Hibs.
RW – Daniel Candeias
After only getting a half game against Hibs, Candeias will likely be given another chance to impress, against Partick.
ST – Jason Cummings
Striker Jason Cummings will be desperate to get his first start in a Rangers shirt, as Alfredo Morelos looked out of ideas at the weekend.
