Mousset To Lead The Line: Strongest 4-2-3-1 Bournemouth Line-Up To Face Burnley

Predicted Bournemouth Lineup To Face Burnley

Bournemouth will clash against manager Eddie Howe’s former side Burnley at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.

The Cherries have managed to maintain their status as a Premier League club for next season and are currently seated 11th in the league standings. A win on Saturday could see them put pressure on the likes of Southampton and Leicester City for a place in the upper half of the table. Bournemouth have managed to get 7 points in their last 3 fixtures and come into the game on the back of a 2-2 draw against Stoke City last weekend. They will want to extend their unbeaten run to 4 games.

Team News

Ryan Fraser is expected to be completely fit after it was revealed that he did not play a part last week due to an Achilles problem. Junior Stanislas too, has recovered from a cramp, while midfielder Dan Gosling continues to be a major doubt. Benik Afobe, Callum Wilson, Jack Wilshere, Andrew Surman and Adam Federici have all been ruled out for the season.

Probable Bournemouth Starting XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Eddie Howe

Artur Boruc (GK)

The 37-year old has kept 9 clean sheets from 34 league games this season. Will want to enter double figures on Saturday.

Adam Smith (RB)

The right-back has been praised for his performances this season and he will want to justify that with a strong outing against the Clarets.

Simon Francis (CB)

The captain will take his place in the heart of the defence and try to keep the threat of Sam Vokes to a bare minimum.

Steve Cook (CB)

The 25-year old has had an impressive season for the Cherries. He will have to deal with the physical threat of Ashley Barnes on Saturday.

Charlie Daniels (LB)

The 30-year old has scored 4 times and has set up 3 more this season. His forward forays from left-back and his set-piece delivery will be key for Bournemouth.

Lewis Cook (CM)

The 20-year old has started the last 2 games with the dearth of options that has hit Bournemouth in midfield. He will make his 6th league appearance on Saturday.

Harry Arter (CM)

Youngster Cook will be partnered by the experienced Harry Arter. The 27-year old has just missed 2 games over the course of the season and is set for another start this weekend.

Junior Stanislas (RW)

The winger scored a goal against Stoke last weekend and having recovered from a cramp, he should feature from the get-go against Burnley.

Joshua King (CAM)

The club’s top scorer with 15 strikes in the league so far, the Norwegian attacker will be the biggest threat in the final third.

Marc Pugh (LW)

The left-flank will be manned by Marc Pugh, who has been impressive in recent weeks, after a poor start to the season.

Lys Mousset (ST)

With Benik Afobe and Callum Wilson ruled out for the season, the responsibility of leading the line has fallen to Lys Mousset. Yet to open his account for the Cherries, he would like to get off the mark soon.
