According to a report by The Mirror, Everton starlet Ademola Lookman will hold talks about his future with the club. The report further states that the Toffees are not looking to offload him this summer, with German outfit RB Leipzig lurking for a permanent deal.
Due to a significant shortage of game time at Goodison Park last season, Lookman was loaned out to Leipzig in January. During his time there, the 20-year-old was quite impressive and he played a key role as the Bundesliga club secured a Europa League spot.
Lookman is currently one of the most exciting youngsters at Everton. After his performances with Leipzig, the Toffees must do everything they can to ensure he remains on Merseyside.
Having joined Everton from Charlton Athletic in January 2017, he has struggled for game time at the Premier League club. But with new manager Marco Silva at the helm, things could be different next season.
Before things turned sour for Silva at Watford, he had successfully transformed the Hornets into a fast-paced attacking unit. In addition to that, Silva had built the team around Richarlison, who was a relatively lesser-known player in the initial stages.
However, with Silva’s tactics and guidance, the young Brazilian developed into one of the best youngsters in the Premier League. Now, the Portuguese manager could do the same with Lookman at Everton.
To ensure he remains Everton, Lookman must be provided with the guarantee of regular game time. And considering the impact he had at RB Leipzig, a youngster of his calibre could work wonders for the Toffees.
After an inconsistent season, Everton have a lot to prove and they must focus on securing a top-six finish at least next season. In their quest to do so, a young attacker such as Lookman would be resourceful. During his time in the Bundesliga, Lookman scored 5 goals and provided 3 assists in 11 appearances – pretty impressive numbers.

A winger by trade, Lookman has all the qualities required to blossom into a top-class Premier League player. It’s exciting times at Everton with a manager like Silva in charge, and if they can manage to retain Lookman’s services, the Merseysiders will be a force to reckon with in the seasons to come.
