Mandzukic To Chelsea, Diego Costa to Arsenal, Pedro To Liverpool – Three Wishful Transfers That Would Lighten Up The EPL

Share

Well, we all as Football Fanatics, who doesn’t love the rumour mill? With the January Transfer Window now open, the extra bit of a spice and flavour has already been added to the Transfer Market with major tabloids linking the best of players. It’s that time of the year when all the Premier League clubs try to add more depth to their squad by bringing in new faces. Critics might agree that players are overvalued in the winter transfer window, but that’s only one side of the coin. Take for example the likes of Luis Suarez, David Luiz, Phillipe Coutinho who were all last ditch deals in January.

The Premier League already boasts of the best of talents all around the globe, but we here at Socersouls feel it’s not an exhaustive list, rather we provide our readers  with three wishful transfers that would lighten up the Premier League come in the second half of the season.

1. Mario Mandzukic to Chelsea:

So does our list start with a no brainer? I for one feel certainly not. It’s quite evident that the Blues are in search of a lethal striker up front who can solve their goal scoring woes in the final third and we believe  Mario Mandzukic  would be a perfect fit in this Chelsea side. With Bayern already announcing the pre contract agreement for Robert Lewandowski for next season, Madzukic’s time might well be over at the Bavarian club. A striker of his quality will never want to play a second fiddle role in any side, be it for defending European champions. So, a move to premier league is a sensible option for this elegant goal poacher.

2. Diego Costa to Arsenal:

Diego Costa

The Gunners’ boss is in desperate search for a new striker and if major tabloids are to be believed then Wenger is plotting a massive deal to land Athletico Madrid’s goal machine Diego Costa. Brazilian/Spanish forward is an all round striker. He has tremendous strength, good headers and decent finishing skills. Arsenal’s title ambitions are clearly in front of them, they need a clinical striker who can make full use of the creativity available in this Arsenal side. This is where Costa fits the bill perfectly. He may not be as good as Suarez, but he is a clear upgrade to Olivier Giroud.

3. Pedro to Arsenal/Liverpool:

Pedro

This is not a easy deal to pull off as Pedro has had significant impact at Barcelona this season. But with Neymar and Alexis Sanchez in red hot form, Pedro will have limited game time at the Nou Camp. So he may want to leave the defending Spanish champions in order to get more game time ahead of next year’s showcase World Cup in Brazil. Pedro is versatile enough to play either  side on wings and with 14 goals overall this La Liga campaign, this is the right time for any club to sign the world cup winner. According to latest reports, it is believed both Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in getting his signature. He has got good pace, dribbling and finishing skills, means he will strengthen any top side he joins. With Walcott’s injury, Arsenal would be a more perfect option for the Spaniard.
