Manchester United should target these three attackers in the January window

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently confirmed that Manchester United could spend money to solve their attacking problems in January (h/t Telegraph).

The Red Devils sold Romelu Lukaku to Inter Milan and allowed Alexis Sanchez to leave on loan in the summer.

However, they did not sign a replacement for either and have been left wanting in the attack. Marcus Rashford hasn’t been great as the striker while Anthony Martial has had some injury problems.

Mason Greenwood needs time to develop and is far from the finished article.

United need to make the right signing to fix their attack and might have to spend big to land the right player.

The Red Devils have been linked with several players in the summer, and here are three that they should target to fix their attack.

Paulo Dybala

The Argentine was linked with the Red Devils in the summer but the deal fell through in the last week of the window (h/t Telegraph).

The 25-year-old has struggled since the arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo and was initially kept out of Maurizio Sarri’s XI.

However, he has started the last three league games but has just one assist to show from that. The Argentine might not be a cheap addition to the team, but his versatility would help United’s attack.

Dybala can play across the front-line and can even take up the role of an attacking midfielder.

The 25-year-old is one of the best on his day and would allow Solskjaer several options to field him.

Moussa Dembele

The former Celtic forward has done well since returning to France with Lyon.

The 23-year-old already has six goals from seven Ligue 1 games for Lyon and could be the striker that United need.

Dembele has experience of playing in England thanks to his stint with Fulham, and the youngster bagged 15 goals from 21 starts in Ligue 1 last season.

The 23-year-old has been scouted by the Red Devils (h/t Telegraph), and he would allow Martial and Rashford to play in their wide positions.

Dembele would be a smart option, given that he has the potential but prying him away from Lyon won’t be easy.

Jadon Sancho

Jadon Sancho has been one of the best in the Bundesliga since signing for Borussia Dortmund.

The 19-year-old has broken into the senior England side and has bagged three goals and four assists from six Bundesliga games this season.

The youngster played for the Manchester City youth team before making the switch to Germany and could become one of the best in the world.

Jadon Sancho

The 19-year-old has loads of potential and United were willing to pay £80m to land Sancho in the summer (h/t Evening Standard).

The Red Devils might have to pay more than that to land the 19-year-old, but Sancho would be an excellent addition to the team.

The youngster would provide a lot of creativity out wide for the Red Devils, however, that would mean shifting either Martial or Rashford to the striker’s role, something that hasn’t always worked in the past.

However, Sancho would provide a lot of creativity down the wings, and it will be interesting to see who United more for once the winter window opens.
