Young had the reputation of a player who could run past defenders as if they weren’t there, possessed wonderful trickery and the pace to burn past any opposition. The current United player though, has developed the reputation who goes down far too easily even at the slightest of choices and is often referred to as the diver at Old Trafford. After spending most of time on the sidelines, Allen has surely been not the kind of player he was under Rodgers at Swansea. Though, few would say Allen hasn’t been given his preferred choice in the heart of the middle, but it would be more than just to say that he surely hasn’t delivered playing in midfield. He hardly passes the ball forward, tracks back to help his defence or provided the incisive pass in the final third.
