Yet another game week of the Barclays Premier league is amongst us. The weekend starts with a blockbuster as Arsenal travel to Anfield to take on Liverpool who have been imperious at home this season, Manchester United look to get some relief as they host bottom placed Fulham as Manchester City travel to Norwich. Chelsea host Newcastle at the glittering Stamford Bridge while yet another mouth wateing prospect at White Hart Lane sees Spurs host Everton. As Fantasy Premier League managers all around the Globe are scratching their heads to fine tune their best possible eleven, we here at Soccersouls provide our readers with the best possible squad selection, top bargains buys and seasoned players and pick your captain as well.

Goalkeeper

Vito Mannone

Certainly if your are working a shoe string budget or have the liberty to splash the cash, we recommend Vito Mannone should be the Goalkeeper for this game week. The in form Italian and Sunderland goalkeeper has been impressive in the past few weeks and is one of the major reasons behind Sunderland’s resurgence. At just 4.5m he comes quite cheap and worth the risk for a clean sheet if not he will give at least three points albeit his average saves per game. David De Gea too is worth the shout as United play Fulham but he doesn’t come cheap. It’s for you to decide.

Must Avoid: Goalkeepers from Liverpool vs Arsenal and Tottenham vs Everton matches.

Defence:

Vidic

Chelsea’s defensive cover has been rock solid this season thanks to the centre back pairing of John Terry and Gary Cahill. With the Blues hosting Newcastle, the latter who failed to score at home last week, either of the two Englishmen should be in your side. However the one name you must have in your squad is Nemanja Vidic as the Red Devils host clueless Fulham at Old Trafford. Southampton’s Jose Fonte is a good bet too given the Saints play Stoke while a Manchester City wing back is also worth the risk as the Citizens travel to Carrow Road to take on Norwich.  However if you want to save for your striking options, go for either of Aston Villa’s centre backs as the Clarets and Blue plays hosts to a struggling West Ham outfit.

Avoid: Games in which there will be goals like the ones at Anfield, White Hart Lane, the Welsh derby.

Midfielders

adam johnson

Even though Yaya Toure was closely marked and nullified by Chelsea, the Ivorian is a must pick while Jason Puncheon is also a good bet. However the one must have player in your team has to be Adam Johnson who has been splendid in the past few weeks and will be earning bonanzas for fantasy managers. If you want options though, Adam Lallana who has scored three goals in his last four matches is a certain buy. Arsenal’s Santi Cazorla too is worth having in your team if you can afford the Spaniard.

Suggestion: Be wise, go with set piece takers from low profile matches

Strikers:

RVP

I would suggest to field three strikers this game week. Van Persie or Rooney would be my captain for sure while Christian Benteke would also make my starting eleven. The Belgian has come good in the last few appearances and coming up against a fragile Wet Ham defence, I would bet on him to shoot one at the back of the net. The last of all Luis Suarez, who though is coming up against Laurent Koscielny and Per Mertesacker is a must have, the Uruguayan who can score against anyone and anytime.

Avoid: West Ham and Fulham strikers
