Chelsea are one of the richest clubs in world football and are often known to spend on players that are not immediate requirements at the club. Over the years, there were a number of star players who found it hard to get into the Chelsea squad and spoiled their careers. It is clear that the Stamford Bridge outfit want to invest on players who have potential as they love to send them on loan spells to help them build as a player and come back to add some quality to the squad. Tammy Abraham (Bristol City):

With 8 goals from 14 appearances in the second tier of English domestic football, Tammy Abraham is the most impressive player for Chelsea out on loan. He has 11 goals in all competitions, including winners in the first three rounds of the FA Cup and has become an important part of Bristol side. He won the Player of the Month award in the Championship for August and September and also earned a call-up for the U21 national side making his loan spell a huge success already.

Lewis Baker (Vitesse):

Spending his second consecutive season out on loan at Vitesse, the Golden Boot winner of the Toulon tournament in the summer; Baker has made an impressive start to his season out on loan. He showed his goal scoring prowess recently with a thumping free-kick against Groningen and has 4 other goals for his side this season. He has had an impressive time out on loan and will hope to make it into the first squad at Chelsea in years to come.

Bertrand Traore (Ajax):

Though made an impressive start to his career at the club last season, Traore was sent back to Netherlands in the summer to play for Dutch giants Ajax on loan this season. He has 4 goals in all competitions for the club this season and has been impressive in almost every outing for his side. His goal against PEC Zwolle was a reminder of what he is capable of as he will hope to make a return to the starting XI at the Bridge in years to come.

Christian Atsu (Newcastle United):

Having made a move to the St James in the summer on a contract including an option make his transfer permanent at the end of the season, Atsu has made an impressive start to his time at Newcastle United. He scored on his debut for Benitez’ side this season and has ever since cemented a place in the starting XI under the former Real Madrid manager. He now has 7 appearances for the Magpies in the league and is fast becoming an important player in the side.

Andreas Christensen (Borussia Monchengladbach):

A regular in the side for Monchengladbach, Christensen has made an impressive start to his second loan spell in the Bundesliga. He made 39 appearances in all competitions for the German outfit last season and has assumed a key role in the side early this season. At 20, he has a sparkling future ahead of him and could turn out to be the defender that Antonio Conte needs to make his side one of the strongest in the Premier League.
