Fantasy Premier League – Top 4 FPL Picks For Gameweek 28

After the euphoria of the Round of 16 of the Champions League, the Premier League is back in town this weekend and it is time for the many managers around the world to start thinking on their toes before selecting their line up in the Fantasy Premier League for this weekend. The FPL has a number of fans glued to every game in the domestic league in England so it does not come as a surprise that all such fans are desperate for some tips to try and get maximum points in the game week. This weekend, the Premier League is not happening in full as a number of teams are busy with the quarter-finals of the FA Cup, the domestic knockout competition. Arsenal, Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Manchester United are all involved in some crunch games in the FA Cup while the likes of Southampton, Watford, Stoke City and Crystal Palace will all miss their games this weekend. So this weekend is not easy for the FPL managers so to make it easier, at least a bit, here are the top 4 picks that might yield maximum points this weekend:

4. Sadio Mane – Liverpool (vs Burnley):

Sadio Mane

The Senegalese speed merchant is currently the top scorer for Liverpool this season and was on target in the game against Arsenal. Though Liverpool have struggled against teams at the bottom of the table and though they lost the reverse fixture at the Turf Moor, they are in decent form and playing at home, should be able to get over Sean Dyche’s side this weekend. Mane missed the game early in the season but he is in top form at the moment and his pace could be too hot to handle for the visitors at Anfield making him a productive pick. Points Predictions – 7 to 11 points

3. Fernando Llorente – Swansea (vs Hull City):

In a matchup between two teams wanting to get away from the drop zone, Swansea travel to the KOCM this weekend in search of three more points. The Swans have taken 6 points from the last 3 league games and one man who has been in superb form is Spanish star Fernando Llorente. He scored twice, including a late winner against Burnley last weekend and coming at just £6.1, he is a steal. With the likes of Diego Costa, Harry Kane, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Alexis Sanchez all absent, Llorente could be a more than a decent option in your FPL team this weekend.

Points Prediction – 10 to 13 points

2. Seamus Coleman – Everton (vs West Bromwich Albion):

After losing to the Spurs in the previous round away from home, Ronald Koeman’s side welcomes the Baggies to the Merseyside this weekend in an interesting matchup. West Brom have now picked up 7 points from the last 4 games but are fresh from a loss over Palace last weekend. Their biggest threat on the night might come in attack but one player who is sure to put in the hard yards in this game. A constant feature in the Team of the Week in the last few game weeks, Coleman is fast becoming an important player in the FPL and with most other stars absent, he could be a safe bet for this weekend.

  1. Romelu Lukaku – Everton (vs West Bromwich Albion):
Romelu Lukaku

Just shading over Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho to this list, Lukaku, is arguably the best option this weekend for the FPL managers. Though he could not give his side even a point from their trip to the Lane last weekend, the beast striker is in tremendous form at the moment and is currently 2nd best goalscorer in the league. He has been consistent and though the Baggies have been strong at the back, Lukaku will surely trouble them all night long. He may not have the greatest of the game but the Belgian has what it takes to make things happen and he should find a place in your side even though he is a bit costly in FPL.
