Liverpool have been a little shaky in their first couple of games this season and it could be due to their busy fixture list. They’ve lost Alisson Becker to injury in the first couple of weeks in the season and while it hasn’t cost them in terms of points, they’ll be hoping that their other senior players don’t miss games due to injury.
They’ve looked a little leggy in recent weeks and might regret having not signed any senior players this summer after a fantastic campaign last season, which was rewarded with a Champions League trophy.
One player they were linked with in the summer was their former superstar Philippe Coutinho, who has now joined Bayern Munich on loan.

Coutinho was enduring a torrid spell at Barcelona but that could be due to factors beyond his control, as a lot of attacking players have struggled under current boss Ernesto Valverde.
Coutinho was enjoying his best period as a Liverpool player just before he left them, having formed a fantastic connection with Mohammed Salah, Sadio Mane and his Brazilian teammate Roberto Firmino.
Jurgen Klopp got the best out of Philippe Coutinho during his time at the club. He usually helped not just in the midfield but could also play on the wings to give the front-three a much-needed break.
Liverpool struggled to break Southampton last weekend and if this continues throughout the season, it’ll be a very long term for some of their players.
