Liverpool Receive Transfer Update On Long Term Left Back Target

Share

Liverpool will see at least 7 new faces next season but that has not stopped Jurgen Klopp, their current manager, from looking at options to strengthen the squad.

There have been heavy links between the club and Ben Chilwell of Leicester City but in a recent news from Telegraph, the newspaper stated that the defender is set to renew his contract for the next 5 years. This is a major boost for Claudio Ranieri as many expected major exoduses from Leicester but the defending champions have lost only N’Golo Kante to Chelsea so far.

The player was recently a subject of a £7 million bid from Liverpool. Prior to that Arsenal tried to sign him even before Chilwell had appeared for the senior team. Among other clubs Chelsea and Manchester City are also seen scouting the player regularly. However the player has decided to stay back at Leicester. Liverpool has already made 6th summer signing and more could be expected to come to Anfield. Unfortunately, looks like Chilwell is not going to be one of them.
