A Strong Team: Liverpool Predicted Line-Up To Face Leicester City

Share

Having arrested the fall that started at the turn of the year, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have a decent chance to find three more points this weekend, when they travel to the King Power Stadium to face the defending Premier League Champions. Though the Foxes managed to put in a decent performance against Sevilla in the Champions League, they are currently reeling at 17th place in the points table, just a point off safety. They have now lost 5 back to back games in the league and are staring down the hill and this has seen the owners sack the Italian, who scripted the biggest fairy tale in the history of the sport.

The Reds have not been comfortable playing against sides at that end of the points table and the Foxes surely have a chance to squeeze out a point or three from this tie, especially with a point to prove after Ranieri’s sack. With this fixture being the only game they have been working on for two weeks, Klopp is expected to go with his strongest XI.

Liverpool predicted line-up to face Leicester

Team News:

Jurgen Klopp is without the services of Danny Ings, Marko Grujic and Ovie Ejaria who are all injured. He revealed that Dejan Lovren and Daniel Sturridge, both of whom are nursing small niggles, are a doubt for this tie. Lucas Leiva also picked up a knock in the game against Spurs and might not be risked for this game. Ragnar Klavan, who is back fit is expected to start in his place.

Formation 4-3-3:

Simon Mignolet (GK):

After a decent performance against Spurs, Mignolet will be gull of confidence and will hope to have a decent game for Liverpool.

Nathaniel Clyne (RB):

One of the first names on the team sheet for Liverpool this season, Clyne has been reliable on the right flank for the Reds and should star there.

Joel Matip (CB):

The senior defender at the back for Liverpool is fast growing into one of the best in the league and should start this tie.

Ragnar Klavan (CB):

With Lucas is still not back to full fitness, Klopp is left with no other choice but to partner Joel Matip with Ragnar Klavan at the back for Liverpool.

James Milner (LB):

The versatile Englishman found some form in the previous game and will hope to put in a decent performance against Leicester City.

Jordan Henderson (CM):

The skipper will have to win the midfield battle against fellow countryman Drinkwater if Liverpool are to dominate this game.

Georginio Wijnaldum (CM):

Played one of his best games in a Liverpool shirt in the previous game and will hope to put in a similar performance to give his side a victory.

Adam Lallana (CM):

Having just signed a new contract with Liverpool, Lallana will be hoping to prove his worth and justify the deal. He will hope to have an impact on the scoreline this weekend.

Sadio Mane (RW):

The hero of the victory over Spurs for Liverpool, Mane is the top goalscorer for his side this season and will hope to add to his tally at the King Power.

Philippe Coutinho (LW):

Not yet back to his best coming back from an injury, Coutinho will hope to make an impact on this game to try and win his team all three points from this trip to home of the Champions.

Roberto Firmino (CF):

Though not at his best recently, Firmino has had a good time in the past against the Foxes and should start this game as the striker.
