Liverpool Dream XI For Next Season – Shaqiri With Formidable SAS

Share

Liverpool have already made this season a remarkable one, although five games are yet to be played. They are in a position to lay their hands on the coveted trophy and create history. But the club is well aware of the fact that it needs reinforcements at certain areas of the pitch to cope up with the additional number of matches next season. Let us make a dream Liverpool eleven that the fans would like to see at the club.

Goal Keeper And Defence

Simon Mignolet- The Belgian has been a trusted keeper this term, making some crucial saves. Amid a few occasional bloopers, he has been impressive for the club and he should be continuing this good job for the next season as well.

Glen Johnson- The Liverpool right-back has been injury struck this season and it was thought that he was past his prime. But after returning from his injury, he has once again impressed and should be the number one player for his slot in Brazil in the summer. That should seal his position in the team for the next season.

Martin Skrtel- This season has been a change of fortune for him as he has managed to get the manager’s trust and once again be the centre-back of choice for his side.

Mamadou Sakho- Sakho joined Liverpool from PSG last summer and so far has only showed his capabilities in glimpses. He has also been injury ridden, but the fans should expect that he will show his true colours and live upto his reputation next season onwards.

Fabio Coentrao- The left back position has been a problem area for Liverpool this season with no present players at the club being able to make that place their own. Real Madrid left-back Coentrao has been linked with a move to Liverpool by certain sources and the fans would be delighted to have him.

Midfield

Yann M’Vila- Liverpool have lacked some muscle power in their defensive midfield position and a player like M’Vila, who has been a target for the club since a long time would be ideal in pursuit of their Premier League and Champions League dream.

Steven Gerrard- The skipper has led the club this season like no other and he has proved that he still has a few years of top football left in him. Next season, his responsibilities would only increase.

Xherdan Shaqiri- The Bayern Munich midfielder may join the Merseyside club in the summer and it would be ideal for the club as he brings with him immense qualities. His talent and his winning mentality would make him a hot property in England.

Philippe Coutinho- No one would doubt the talent of the Brazilian inspite of his unimpressive showing this season and the fans would hope that he regains his touch next time around.

Strike Force

Luis Suarez- Arguably one of the best players in the world, the Uruguayan has single handedly led the club for a long part of the season. The fans can hope that he stays in the club for a very long time to come.

Daniel Sturridge- The England striker has been magnificent this season and showed his class on numerous occasions. His form and his partnership with Suarez is essential for Liverpool to shine and to challenge other heavyweights.
