Drogba could join the Old Lady this Winter
Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport revealed today morning that the Bianconeri are ready to move in for the former Chelsea legend Didier Drogba in the hope to strengthen their attacking front. Juventus have made Drogba and Llorente their top priority in the January transfer window.
The future of Drogba remains a question mark as his current club Shanghai Shenhua are reportedly facing a financial meltdown. With a return to Chelsea strongly on the cards, the Ivory Coast International has also made it clear that Marseille remains close to his heart.
Juventus are ready to jump on the situation and there’s already been contact. Drogba apparently wants a deal until the middle of 2015 but Juventus would rather it was until the summer of 2014, the wages being mentioned are €4m a year which is around £60k a week.
Drogba is due to return to Chelsea for training with the first team until the African Cup nations start in January. And though Chelsea will be more than happy to welcome back their legend. However, a request to be able to go on loan to either Chelsea or Marseille turned down by FIFA. Giuseppe Marotta, Juventus’s Sporting Director has offered Drogba a contract lasting 18 months until the end of the 2013-14 season and it is reported that the player is considering the offer carefully.
