Predicted Brighton and Hove Albion Line-up To Face Huddersfield Town In The Premier League

Brighton & Hove Albion will look to register their first win in five games when they take on fellow promotion winners Huddersfield Town at the John Smith Stadium on Saturday.

The Seagulls haven’t won a single game since their 1-0 triumph over Swansea City back in the first week of November and come into the game on the back of a 5-1 mauling at the hands of Liverpool this past weekend, which left them at 12th place in the Premier League standings. Manager Chris Hughton will be hoping to turn things around with a win over the Terriers in the upcoming weekend.

Team News

Steve Sidwell is the only absentee for the Seagulls for the coming clash.

Here’s how Brighton might take the field against Huddersfield on Saturday:

Manager: Chris Hughton

Formation: 4-4-1-1

Matthew Ryan (GK)

The Australian will be looking to keep a shutout after having let in 5 goals in the previous game at home against Liverpool.

Bruno (RB)

The 37-year old club captain continues to defy age and put up strong displays week in week out. Should take his place at right-back.

Shane Duffy (CB)

The former Everton man has been solid for most parts of the season and will look to bounce back with a strong showing after last week’s disappointment.

Shane Duffy

Lewis Dunk (CB)

The Englishman scored another own goal last weekend – his third of the season. Will be keen to put that behind and put on a dominant display against the Terriers.

Gaetan Bong (LB)

The 29-year old Cameroonian is likely to continue as the preferred option for Hughton at left-back. Should make his 8th league appearance of the season.

Anthony Knockaert (RW)

Last season’s Championship Player of the Year took a little time to get going but has been in good form in the past few games. Expect him to cause some serious problems for Huddersfield.

Dale Stephens (CM)

The 27-year old has been a permanent fixture in the middle of the park for the Seagulls and one wouldn’t expect Hughton to change things there.

Davy Propper (CM)

The Dutchman has been impressive since his summer move to England. Should partner Stephens in the midfield.

Pascal Gross

Jose Izquierdo (LW)

The club record signing was benched in the loss to Liverpool in favour of Izzy Brown. But, he could be back in the starting XI this weekend, on the left wing.

Pascal Gross (SS)

The German attacker has 3 goals and 5 assists in the Premier League so far and has been Brighton’s biggest threat going forward this season. Could prove to be a handful.

Glenn Murray (ST)

Spearheading the attack for the Seagulls against Huddersfield should be club’s leading goal-scorer Glenn Murray. Scored from the spot last weekend and will look to add more to his tally in the coming game.
