Inter Milan Target Pens 12 Month Chelsea Contract

Share

Chelsea’s Branislav Ivanovic has extended his contract with the Blues for another year. The contract includes a clause wherein if the player plays a certain number of games he contract will be extended further 12 months.

His aerial ability combined with physical strength has helped Ivanovic score many goals uncharacteristic for a defender. The Serbian was one of the best signings for Chelsea however he was also one of the worst performers from Chelsea this season.

With the loyalties intact Chelsea still values the player, keeping in mind their 30 year policy, Ivanovic who is 31 years has been given an extra concession albeit with conditions.

While the player was aiming for a straight 2 year deal his performance and his age have been a deciding factor for the way the deal has been framed. While Florentina and Inter Milan were interested in signing the Serbian for a two year deal but Ivanovic chose to stay in Chelsea.
