Rangers Highlights: Glenn Middleton continued his excellent run of form against Celtic in the reserves league.
Rangers took full control over their Old Firm rivals as Middleton scored a stunning brace to seal the win.
And the winning goal came in spectacular fashion, as the Scotsman scored a beautiful curler with his left foot.
Now, the 19-year-old has scored eight goals in his last four games for the Light Blues’ reserves.
Stephen Kelly, another exciting talent, once again showed his class, as he was involved in both the goals.
Middleton has made an ample number of appearances this season for the Gers’ main team, scoring two goals and providing three assists.
However, he was fallen out of Steven Gerrard’s favour since the turn of the year and was pushed to the reserves side.
Ryan Kent has been one of the key players for the Gers this season, making a productive contribution in each and every game.
But the English winger is due to join his parent club Liverpool this season, despite his desire to stay at Ibrox for another season.
Gerrard was also keen on Kent to continue with the Light Blues yet he acknowledges the difficulties in keeping him in Glasgow.
The 22-year-old’s exit could pave a way for Middleton to retain a position in the first-team.
And having shown his class in recent times, Gerrard can certainly rely on the Scottish prospect in the forthcoming campaign.
