The transfer saga of Neymar Jr with Barcelona seems to have no end as a recent report from Mundo Deportivo states that the Catalans have held a summit with PSG regarding the transfer negotiations.
The Brazilian remains steadfast on his return to Nou Camp after two eventful seasons with the Ligue 1 side. Notwithstanding his recurring injuries, his performances on the field remained exceptional, racking up 51 goals and 29 assists in the process.
But where would he fit in at Barcelona if he makes his switch to La Liga?
The Catalans are currently stockpiled with world-class forwards, which makes it a headache for Ernesto Valverde to find a suitable position for the £200m Brazilian ace.
It is the position where Neymar use to wreak havoc on the opponents under Luis Enrique alongside Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez, forming a deadly trio.
The former Santos player can perfectly execute fit in on the left flank at Nou Camp, this time with a new striker partner, Antoine Griezmann, who was recently acquired from Atletico Madrid.
If that is the case, Ousmane Dembele would have many consequences as he is the current occupant of the left-wing void.
However, Valverde can handle this situation by deploying Dembele on the opposite flank, which would see Messi playing in the hole behind the striker.
Neymar is familiar with this position as he was often used as an auxiliary striker under Thomas Tuchel.
That said, the 27-year-old can pair up with Griezmann up in front in a 4-4-2 formation, Valverde’s go-to set-up. This could push both Dembele and Messi to the flank.

It looks the Catalans are trying hard to re-sign Neymar. The Brazilian star wouldn’t find it difficult to get going at the club, where he played for four seasons.
