Dream Liverpool XI featuring Alisson and all the other new signings

Liverpool have been a busy club this summer so far, with the Merseysiders completing a number of high profile signings. Jurgen Klopp has brought in the likes of Monaco midfielder Fabinho, RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita and Stoke City winger Xherdan Shaqiri.

The Reds also completed a deal for Roma shot-stopper Alisson Becker yesterday. The Brazilian has stolen the limelight, becoming the most expensive goalkeeper in history with a reported fee of around £66.8million.

Liverpool fans will be licking their lips in utter curiosity as to how this Liverpool side will fare next season. Jurgen Klopp has made a statement of his intention by bolstering the squad with top names, something the Reds consistently failed to do with the previous managers.

There seems to be an air of excitement and adventure around Anfield. But how can this star-studded Liverpool team line up next season?

Here we take a look at the best XI Jurgen Klopp can field including all his new signings.

Liverpool Dream XI

Manager: Jurgen Klopp

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Alisson Becker (GK)

Wow. What a signing for Liverpool. The Brazilian will surely put an end to their goalkeeping frailties and will considerably strengthen one of the club’s key areas.

Andrew Robertson (LB)

The Scot was just on another level compared to Alberto Moreno. He was one of Liverpool’s most exciting and tenacious players last season. He will surely play a crucial role for the club this season.

Andrew Robertson

Virgil Van Dijk (CB)

It seems as though the Dutchman has been at the club for years, such was his performance from day one. There’s no better way to start your Liverpool career than with a debut goal against arch-rivals Everton.

Dejan Lovren (CB)

Despite the criticism Lovren carries, he has been impressive over the last three months for his club and country. Lovren was also brilliant against Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Trent-Alexander Arnold (RB)

Clyne’s long-term injury last season meant that Alexander Arnold took his spot and he did so well. There’s every chance he’ll keep his place in the line-up this season after putting in excellent shifts for the club last season.

Fabinho (CM)

The Brazilian, who was signed for £43.7m, will bring stability and cohesion in the middle of the park with his brilliant distribution of the ball. He comes in with high esteem and confidence and should go straight into the line-up.

Naby Keita (CM)

Almost like another version of Kante, the £52.75m signing will be one of the club’s peripheral figures next season. Watch him explode onto the scene.

Xherdan Shaqiri (CAM)

The Swiss international will have to settle for a central role in this side with Liverpool already well stocked in the attacking department. But the £13m signing possesses the traits and the experience to flourish in the role.

Sadio Mane (LW)

Mane was energetic and explosive on the ball last season. Liverpool can expect more from the Senegalese international this time around.

Sadio Mane

Roberto Firmino (ST)

In many ways, the most complete striker in the Premier League. Strength, stability, skills, speed, defensive work rate, Firmino has it all and certainly gives it his all on the field.

Mohamed Salah (RW)

The Premier League record breaker for most goals scored in a single season. There’s every chance he could score more next season.
