[Image] Predicted 4-2-3-1 Chelsea XI to host Leicester City – Can Lampard get his first win of the season?

Chelsea vs Leicester City prediction: Chelsea line-up

Chelsea lost out in the UEFA Super Cup final despite being the better team for most of the game.

Although Liverpool ran out winners on penalties, the Blues had enough chances to win the game in normal time.

Tammy Abraham was the unlucky player that saw his spot-kick saved, and this was another bitter defeat for Frank Lampard.

The Former Chelsea captain had seen his side perform well at Manchester United but still ended up on the wrong side of a 4-0 scoreline.

The Blues play their first home game of the season against Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City.

The Foxes were held to a 0-0 draw in the opening game of their season, but they have enough of a threat to cause Chelsea’s defence problems.

The Chelsea attackers have been great so far this season but the defence hasn’t looked tight.

Predicted Chelsea XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Frank Lampard

Kepa Arrizabalaga (GK)

The Spaniard made some brilliant stops against Liverpool on Wednesday and seems to be in great form ahead of the Leicester City tie.

Cesar Azpilicueta (RB)

The Chelsea veteran put up a great shift on Wednesday and should keep his place in the starting XI for Sunday’s clash.

Andreas Christensen (CB)

The Dane has looked composed in the two games so far this season but needs to be wary of the threat possessed by Jamie Vardy.

Kurt Zouma (CB)

Zouma looked better at the back on Wednesday after his horror show against Manchester United. However, the Frenchman has to be on his toes going up against a tricky customer like Vardy.

Emerson (LB)

Emerson has impressed under Lampard and the Italian should keep his place in the team ahead of Marcos Alonso.

N’Golo Kante (CM)

The Frenchman was incredible in the clash against Liverpool as he did everything. Kante broke up play several times and created chances for the Chelsea attackers too. The Frenchman should start for the Blues on Sunday and could be the difference-maker.

N’Golo Kante

Jorginho (CM)

The Italian looks much better with Kante alongside him in midfield, and the pairing should start for the Blues on Sunday.

Ross Barkley (CAM)

Mateo Kovacic didn’t impress enough on Wednesday and Chelsea should swap things around by bringing on Barkley.

Pedro (RW)

The Spaniard was on another level when compared to some of the others on Wednesday. Pedro’s speed and movement caused the Liverpool defence a lot of headaches, and he should be a problem for Leicester too.

Pedro

Christian Pulisic (LW)

Another impressive Chelsea player from Wednesday, Pulisic had a fantastic effort ruled out for offside and must start for the Blues on Sunday.

Olivier Giroud (ST)

The French striker should keep his place in the team after an impressive outing against Liverpool. Giroud’s movement and aerial prowess could give Leicester’s defenders a lot of problems.
