Predicted Wolves line-up to face Fulham in the Premier League

Wolves will be aiming to get back to winning ways when they face bottom-placed Fulham at Craven Cottage in the first game of the Boxing Day. Nuno Espirito Santo’s men gave a good account of themselves while playing against Liverpool on Friday but they fell short by a certain distance. Their progress will be measured by how they perform in the upcoming game against Fulham though.

The Cottagers got a point against Newcastle in their previous game, however, they are still last in the table. They will be looking to make their home game count in this festive period. Hence, it won’t be easy for Wolves on Wednesday.

Team News

Diogo Jota has a hamstring strain and is out for this game as well. Other than that, Nuno is lucky to have a full strength squad to pick his line-up from.

Probable Wolves XI

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Manager: Nuno Espirito Santo

Rui Patricio (GK)

The Portuguese starts every game in goal. He has been a solid addition to the squad this season.

Ryan Bennett

Ryan Bennett (RCB)

Bennett has been secure defensively and very good on the ball. He should continue to start most games.

Conor Coady (CB)

The captain’s presence in central defence is always great for the team. He organises the backbone of the system.

Willy Boly (LCB)

The Frenchman has been great, just like his centre-back partners. Expect him to continue playing in the league games.

Matt Doherty

Matt Doherty (RWB)

The attack-minded wing-back is doing a great job. His forward runs are always a threat and he recovers well when required.

Joao Moutinho (CM)

The experience of Moutinho could be vital in an important game for Wolves.

Romain Saiss (CM)

Ruben Neves has played a lot of games and could do with a rest. We may see Saiss replacing him for this game.

Jonny (LWB)

The Spaniard should continue to start after recovering from injury. He is an important player for the team.

Morgan Gibbs-White (CAM)

The youngster has been a breath of fresh air in the team whenever he has played. His ball-retention and passing are fantastic.

Raul Jimenez

Raul Jimenez (ST)

Wolves have struggled for goals this season but Jimenez has come up with a few when required. The Mexican has to do that if his team is to win on Wednesday.

Helder Costa (SS)

He didn’t play against Liverpool. However, he could be best suited to playing away from home where Wolves can surrender possession and hit the opposition on the counter.
