FPL Tips: Take your team to the next level with these top 5 captain picks ahead of GW7

Here are five top FPL captains for GW7

Game week 6 was one for the premium forwards as Harry Kane, Sergio Aguero and Pierre-Emerick Aubameynag found the back of the net but it wasn’t an ideal week for some of the game’s premium midfielders.

Raheem Sterling did not play, Mohammed Salah only got an assist and Sadio Mane made no contribution either.

Managers will have to be patient with their premium assets. Their value is so high due to the consistency that they’ve shown over the years and one simply can’t have them all and play the percentages.

With GW7 on the horizon after the cup fixtures, let’s have a look at the best captaincy options:

  1. Raheem Sterling – Manchester City ( 12.1m)
Raheem Sterling

He has made an electric start to the campaign and still remains City’s most consistent threat as he can chip in with goals and assists. While Sergio Aguero is always a good option, most of his numbers are accumulated in the home games.

Sterling, meanwhile, is always the better pick for away games. He faces a very fragile Everton side.

  • Mohammed Salah – Liverpool ( 12.5m )

He has been the best Fantasy asset for the last two seasons and is well on his way to doing the same for the 3rd season running.

The Egyptian has been a safe captain this season as well and experienced managers will know that the biggest differential for your season is to play it safe.

Sheffield United have made a great start to the Premier League but this might be a step too far.

  • Harry Kane – Tottenham Hotspur ( 11.0m )
Harry Kane

Two seasons ago, there would be no doubt that Harry Kane was in any serious team but he’s now become a bit of a differential.

He scored last week in a losing cause but he’s still considered one of if not the best centre-forwards in the world and Spurs will be hoping that their talisman will add some to his 4-goal tally.

  • Tammy Abraham – Chelsea( 7.4m)

Tammy Abraham has had a remarkable rise this season. Chelsea have had problems with their strikers over the seasons and they’ve won the lottery with their academy graduate. Abraham has one of the better fixtures of the weekend against Brighton at home.

  • Callum Wilson – Bournemouth ( 7.8m )

We make room for one differential in this side and it’s the Bournemouth forward who has been a pillar of consistency and continued his good form from last season.

He’s got some attacking returns in every game and he should be capable of doing the same against West Ham on the weekend.
