Here are 3 players Liverpool should go for in January

Liverpool have made one of their best starts to a Premier League season under Jurgen Klopp this season and have remained unbeaten in the league until now. However, the Reds have failed to grab a win in their last 4 games, also succumbing to a League Cup loss to Chelsea at Anfield.

The Reds’ midfield setup has largely failed to provide their famed attacking trio with enough chances and they have lacked a certain cutting edge in the final third. Though Klopp acquired a number of great talents in the summer, Liverpool definitely need more in order to compete on all fronts.

After making it to the Champions League final in Kiev last season, the Reds will believe they are more than capable of going on and winning it this time around. Adding more firepower and further improving their depth should help them in the long run.

Here we take a look at three players Jurgen Klopp can go for when the January transfer window opens.

Aaron Ramsey (Arsenal)

The Arsenal midfielder is said to be on the move this January after contract talks hit an impasse in the last few weeks. The Gunners are ready to part ways with one of their long-term servants and Ramsey would prove to be a great addition for Liverpool.

Aaron Ramsey

The £110k-a-week midfielder is one of the most experienced players in the Premier League and is known for his versatility in the middle of the park. He is technically brilliant and possesses all the traits to flourish under Jurgen Klopp.

Ramsey can score and create goals, and given Adam Lallana is a now fringe player, the Welshman would be the perfect player to bring in.

Kalidou Koulibaly (Napoli)

The Senegal international has proven to be one of the most talented central defenders over the last few years. The Napoli star was supreme against Liverpool in the Champions League as well and showed his quality with and without the ball.

Koulibaly is confident in possession and diligent at the back. He also possesses impressive pace for a centre-back and is often seen marauding forward to influence his team’s attack.

Liverpool can use one more top quality centre-back in their team to ensure that their defensive department is well stocked.

Christian Pulisic (Borussia Dortmund)

The American international would not only serve as an excellent long-term option but he would also solve Liverpool’s immediate issue in the middle of the park. He is an exciting and energetic attacker who is capable of playing in a number of roles.

His impressive work rate will surely help him flourish in Klopp’s high octane system. Though he is young and yet to prove himself at the highest level, Pulisic can definitely take his career to the next step by joining Jurgen Klopp and co.
