Great News For Chelsea With Regards To Striker’s Transfer, Thanks To Liverpool

Share

Christian Benteke had a terrible debut campaign at the Anfield. However, he seems to have gained interest from Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone for a potential move in the summer.

This brings happy news to Chelsea’s incoming manager Antonio Conte, who is currently trying to convince the players looking to leave the club to stay put, one of them being Diego Costa. Diego Costa has been a long term interest of Atletico’s boss Enrique Cerezo, who was looking to bring the player back to his former club.

However, with a new found interest on Christian Benteke, Cerezo states that it will not be possible to bring Diego Costa back even though they want to bring him back to the club. With a strong contract in place for Costa, Atletico seems to have taken a step back in going after the player and since they have already sold their striker Jackson Martinez to the Chinese side, Benteke seems to be the ideal replacement for the same.
