Antonio Conte who is set to move to the Stamford Bridge as the new manager next season and is looking to sign Roma’s midfielder Rajda Nainggolan for the Blues in the summer, however the Italian manager is most likely to face competition from some strong European clubs for the player’s signature.
Earlier reports suggested that Chelsea are looking to sign Roma’s Miralem Pijanic and now seems like Nainggolan too is added to Conte’s list of potential recruitments for next season.
While reportedly Juventus are also interested in the player, Nainggolan himself does not want to move to Massimiliano Allegri’s squad.
“I don’t think that I need to go to a club full of stars to win a trophy,” Nainggolan said in regards to Massimiliano Allegri’s side.
“I’m happy here, and I want to win with the Giallorossi. It’s better to win a trophy in Rome than 10 with Juventus,” he said as quoted by Gazzetta dello Sport.
Thus, Chelsea are in positive grounds where the player is concerned. Further Chelsea are also ready to accept the player’s €30m price tag.
One of Roma’s key players and a regular feature in the Belgian National team, Nainggolan may be a good choice for Chelsea’s faltering state.
