Gray up Front, Cleverley As No.10 – Strongest 4-2-3-1 Watford Line-up To Face Newcastle United

Predicted Watford Line-up To Face Newcastle United In The Premier League

After a convincing 2-0 victory over West Ham United in the last round, Marco Silva’s Watford are just 4 points away from a place in Europe. They would love to keep their winning run, but the Hornets face a tricky test this weekend when they travel to the St. James’ Park, to face a Newcastle side that are just 4 points behind them in the points table.

The Magpies are healing from a loss at Old Trafford but will believe that they can take something from this game. An interesting game on the cards here.

Team News

Isaac Success, Kaboul Younes, Nathaniel Chalobah and Craig Cathcart are all ruled out of this game along with Troy Deeney, who is serving his suspension. Kiko Femenia picked up a niggle in the game against West Ham and is still doubtful of making it to this weekend’s game.

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: Marco Silva

GK – Heurelho Gomes

Though inconsistent, Gomes has put in some splendid performances recently and remains the first choice for Silva this season.

RB – Daryl Janmaat

Having missed the previous game, Janmaat was not really missed by his side but he should be back in action, starting at right-back.

Daryl Janmaat

CB – Christian Kabasele

Silva’s most trusted defender this season, Kabesele, will have his work cut out this weekend, playing away from home.

CB – Miguel Britos

Another player who has been effective this season at the back for Watford, Britos, should keep his place in the side.

LB – Jose Holebas

A regular name in the starting XI for Watford, Holebas is expected to start at left-back on this trip to Tyneside.

CM – Abdoulaye Doucoure

Arguably the best midfielder for the Hornets this season, Doucoure will have his work cut out and might have to keep a close eye on Jonjo Shelvey in this game.

Etienne Capoue

CM – Etienne Capoue

An unused substitute in the previous game, Capoue should be back in action this week, playing as a part of the midfield for Watford.

RW – Will Hughes

Having picked up a goal and an assist against West Ham, Hughes is bang in form at the moment and should start on the right-hand side of the attack.

CAM – Tom Cleverly

Playing in a slightly attacking role, Cleverly is expected to add mettle and creativity to the midfield, pushing ahead with every opportunity to hurt the hosts this weekend.

Tom Cleverley

LW – Richarlison

One of the most exciting players in the league right now, Richarlison, will be the danger man for Watford in this game.

ST – Andre Gray

With Deeney out suspended, Silva has little choice but to use summer-buy Gray to lead the line for his side.

Here is how Watford might line up:
