Predicted Watford Line-up To Face Crystal Palace In The Premier League

Watford will look to end a five-game winless streak when they take on Crystal Palace at the Vicarage Road this weekend.

Currently placed 12th in the Premier League standings, the Hornets haven’t won a single game since their 1-0 win over West Bromwich Albion in the first week of March.

Their most recent game ended in a 1-0 defeat to David Wagner’s Huddersfield Town away from home. Manager Javi Gracia will be keen on turning things around with a victory over Roy Hodgson’s Eagles on Saturday.

Probable Watford XI

Manager: Javi Gracia

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Orestis Karnezis (GK)

The on-loan Greek goalkeeper has been constantly preferred over Heurelho Gomes by the manager and that is unlikely to change on Saturday.

Daryl Janmaat (RB)

The Netherlands international has made 21 appearances in the Premier League this term, scoring 3 goals. Will be tasked with providing the width from right-back.

Daryl Janmaat

Sebastian Prodl (CB)

The Austrian centre-half has been a constant presence in the backline for the Hornets and it is likely to stay the same this weekend.

Craig Cathcart (CB)

Having spent the entirety of the season out injured, the Northern Irishman made his first start last weekend against the Terriers. Will be hoping to build on from there.

Jose Holebas (LB)

The Greek full-back missed last week’s encounter due to a niggle but should return to action against Palace.

Etienne Capoue (CM)

The former Tottenham Hotspur man has started 10 games in a row for the Hornets since January. Will be making his 21st League appearance of the season on Saturday.

Abdoulaye Doucoure

Abdoulaye Doucoure (CM)

An ever-present in the Watford midfield throughout the season, Frenchman Abdoulaye Doucoure has missed only one game so far in the Premier League.

Kiko Femenia (RW)

The Spanish right-back has been used as a winger by the manager in recent games. Scored his first goal for the club a couple of weeks ago and will want to add to his tally.

Will Hughes (CAM)

The former Derby County man has just made 11 appearances in the Premier League since his arrival but has chipped in with 2 goals and 3 assists. Has the ability to be the difference-maker going forward.

Troy Deeney

Roberto Pereyra (LW)

The Argentine international has scored two goals in his last three games for the Hornets and will once again be a goal threat when they step out against Palace.

Troy Deeney (ST)

The club captain hasn’t had the best of the seasons, notching up just five goals in 25 league appearances. He will be keen on finishing the campaign strongly.
