Go For Alexis Sanchez – 3 World Beaters Jurgen Klopp Should Target With The £150m Warchest

Share

Jurgen Klopp will be gutted with the way his side dropped a couple of points against Bournemouth at Anfield earlier this week. But the manager will know that he had a depleted squad, thanks to the injuries that have hit the team recently. The manager is sure to spend big this summer transfer window, as reports suggest that he could be given a war chest of around £150m to spend in the transfer window. Add to that the incomes from sales in the summer, Liverpool could end up spending insane amounts at the end of the season. They have already been looking at some of the biggest stars in Europe and might break their transfer record for a couple of them this summer. Though not known for spending big, here are three world beaters that Jurgen Klopp should target with his £150m this summer:

3. Andrea Belotti (Torino):

Arguably one of the best strikers in the world at the moment, Belotti is a star who will be in demand at the end of the season. He has 25 goals and four assists in all competitions this season and has been the epitome of everything Liverpool have missed this season. He is a target man with excellent finishing abilities and is a player who Liverpool will love to have in games where the opponents sit back and defend. He will add dynamism to Klopp’s attack but he won’t come cheap, thanks to his contract that only runs down in 2021 with Torino. But with his quality on offer, Klopp should not hesitate to spend a great chunk of the war chest on the 23-year old this summer.

2. Yannick Carrasco (Atletico Madrid):

Another star Liverpool fans will be dreaming off is Atletico Madrid’s Belgian winger Yannick Carrasco. Also 23, Carrasco has been in exceptional form for the Spanish side this season, picking up 12 goals and five assists in all competitions. He signed a new contract at the start of the current season but a good bid from the Reds may tempt the Spanish side to sell their prized asset. Liverpool lack players who can add width to the attack and Klopp will be searching for a player who can compliment Mane on the other wing. So Carrasco could be a sensational option but Liverpool will have to spend insane amounts on his signature.

3. Alexis Sanchez (Arsenal):

The least possible option, but one that Liverpool should try, is Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez. Arguably one of the most productive players in front of goal in Europe, the 28-year-old has 22 goals and 18 assists to his name this season and has been in sensational form. He is yet to agree an extension with Arsenal and is linked with a move to Chelsea and PSG and there is no reason why Liverpool should not try and meet the requirement. Arsenal will not be ready to sell to rivals but surely, £70m on Sanchez will be a money well spent for Liverpool for the upcoming season. Sanchez will solve more than just one problem at the club and should be a target for Liverpool who have £150m to spend this summer.
