Giroud to start, Morata on the bench: Predicted 3-4-3 Chelsea line-up to face Swansea

Predicted Chelsea Line-up To Face Swansea City In The Premier League

Chelsea will continue fighting for the 4th spot as they travel to Swansea City this weekend.

The Blues booked their place in the FA Cup final after beating Southampton 2-0 at Wembley last Sunday. Antonio Conte and his boys will take a lot of inspiration from that win and put everything on the line to qualify for the Champions League next season.

Tottenham’s loss to Manchester City and draw with Brighton, coupled with back-to-back wins for Chelsea would give Conte the hope that his team can still wrestle their way into the top-four.

Probable Chelsea XI

Formation: 3-4-3

Manager: Antonio Conte

Thibaut Courtois (GK)

Chelsea’s No.1 between the sticks, Courtois should return to the starting line-up after being on the bench for the FA Cup semi-finals.

Cesar Azpilicueta (RCB)

Azpilicueta is one of Chelsea’s best players and he will need to perform at the top of his game for the rest of the season.

Gary Cahill (CB)

Cahill seems to have found his rhythm with a couple of strong displays at the back for the Blues. He should retain his place against Swansea.

Antonio Rudiger

Antonio Rudiger (LCB)

After a difficult start to his Chelsea career, Rudiger has found his feet. He will need to be at his best to keep Swansea attackers at bay.

Victor Moses (RWB)

Moses has been a player reborn under Conte. The Nigerian can attack and defend with same gusto and intensity and I don’t see any reason why he would be dropped from the starting XI.

Emerson Palmieri (LWB)

Emerson has been impressive in the last two games. With Alonso suspended, the Brazilian will continue at left-wing back.

N’Golo Kante

N’Golo Kante (CM)

Kante is one of Chelsea’s most important members. He brings a lot of energy and zest to the midfield, breaks up the opposition’s moves and also contributes to attacks. The Frenchman should retain his spot against the Swans.

Cesc Fabregas (CM)

The Spaniard provides Chelsea with a range of passing and different flair that no other player can provide. He dictates the tempo of the game and is currently enjoying a good run of form.

Eden Hazard (LW)

Hazard was truly fantastic against Southampton in the FA Cup semi-final last weekend. The Belgian was a constant threat to the Saints, who simply failed to keep him at bay. After a lean few games, it appears as if Hazard is back.

Olivier Giroud

Willian (RW)

Willian has been outstanding at right-wing this season for the Blues. His sudden acceleration from anywhere on the pitch and direct running make him such a dangerous customer to deal with. He will look to make early inroads against a sandcastle Swansea defence.

Olivier Giroud (ST)

The man in hot form at the moment, Giroud should keep Alvaro Morata on the bench again. The Frenchman scored the opener in the FA Cup semi-final and was a constant menace against the Saints. He should lead the line against Swansea.
