Forget Signings: 3 Liverpool youngsters who would massively benefit from a loan move this season

Share

Liverpool have many young players who can develop into world class players, if given the proper amount of chances. Next season, Liverpool will have only the league and the domestic cups to focus on. And with the sort of team that Klopp has at his disposal right now, the chances are less that these youngsters will get game time. And at such a time, letting these players go out on loan seems the perfect option. Getting some proper game time under their belt will help them develop into better players. Now here are three players that will benefit from a loan move away from Liverpool.

  • Tiago Ilori

Tiago Ilori’s career at Liverpool has been a curious one, ever since he joined the club for a sizeable fee of 7 million euros from Sporting Lisbon in 2013. The Portuguese has failed to make an impression at the club so far and was sent on loan to Aston Villa. He was recalled in January this year and has impressed in the matches that he played before the season ended. At 23, Ilori should be playing regular first team football but inconsistency has caused problems for him. Another loan spell will help him develop into a better player.

  • Connor Randall

Jon Flanagan’s injury woes at the beginning of last season meant Connor Randall made surprise appearances. And he impressed in the 4 appearances that he made last season. But with Nathaniel Clyne in very good form and Jon Flanagan’s recovery from injury means that Randall will hardly get any game time. Randall is a talented right back and he can develop well under Klopp. But before that he needs proper game time under his belt and a loan move will surely help him. He signed a new deal in December last season, which means his future at Liverpool is certain.

  • Harry Wilson

Harry Wilson made his senior Wales debut at the age of 16 and was the youngest to do so. He was also Liverpool’s youngest player to make an international debut. Now, at 19, he has become a regular player of Wales’ U21 and is performing well. He is a pacey winger and has all the qualities of developing into a world class winger. At Liverpool, he will not get proper game time and that might stall his development. A loan spell at a club where he will get proper game time and then a few seasons under Klopp will be perfect for him.
