As per Sky sources, Augsburg defender Baba Rahman has completed his medical prior to his move to Chelsea. A deal for the superstar left-back should happen in the next few days with a fee of more than £20m to be agreed, as the Blues look to find a suitable replacement for the departed Filipe Luis who returned to former club Atletico Madrid.
Despite that, the general manager of the German club, Stefan Reuter, said that there was still a need to discuss further details with Jose Mourinho’s side over the final contract.
The 21-year old left back was left out of the squad during Augsburg’s 0-1 loss to Hertha Berlin last night. Further, his agent had also previously confirmed that the Ghana international was all set to move to Stamford Bridge, as the Premier League champions were keen on signing him.
The youngster was quite impressive in the previous campaign, as Augsburg finished fifth in the Bundesliga and he had made more tackles than any other left-back in the league.
