Ten time European Champions Real Madrid are all set to complete the signing of Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic. The Spanish giants will be paying €30 million for the Croat, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport.
Manager Rafa Benítez wanted to add another midfielder to the squad and his wish has been granted by the club. Kovacic is a good signing for the club, who can be Luka Modirc’s successor at the Santiago Bernabeu. Kovacic can be used an attacking as well as a defensive option for Los Blancos. But his place in the starting XI this season is under scrutiny unless injuries happen to Modric or Toni Kroos or Casemire, who came back to his old club after having a loan spell at FC Porto.
