According to a report in Liverpool Echo , Everton are looking to offload their young winger Ademola Lookman, with RB Leipzig looking to sign him.
Lookman has already spent some time at Leipzig, having provided 5 goals and 4 assist in his short spell at Leipzig in the 2017/18 season and the Germans remain admirers of the young Englishman.
Lookman has made 36 appearances for Everton but hasn’t set the world on fire. The 21-year-old hasn’t been trusted enough by the managers before him but still remains a fantastic talent, which is why Leipzig are after him.
Leipzig over the years under Ralph Rangnick and Ralph Hassenhuttl have shown a real trust in young players around Europe and turned them into top players. Liepzig will be hoping they can provide their new manager, Julian Naggelsman all the ammunition that he needs to challenge for the Bundesliga.
Everton shouldn’t let go of him so easily and he should get a proper run into the team. He can play as a second striker and on both wings. Instead of continuing with the likes of Theo Walcott and Cenk Tosun, who struggled to work wonders, Silva might be better off placing trust in Lookman.
Even the likes of Bernard and Dominic Calvert-Lewin are not enough of a threat and are only in the team to provide balance to the team. Lookman is far more explosive and can be a goal and assist threat, unlike the others.
Marco Silva will be hoping he can improve on last year. Everton depended far too heavily on Gylfi Siggurdson and Richarlison for goals and they can’t sustain that next year. Even the chance creation department, they depended far too much on left-back Lucas Digne.
Everton have a lot to do if they want to make that European spot that they are so desperate for. It doesn’t help that their Merseyside rivals are currently the Champions of Europe. The pressure will be on from the start of the season.

The Toffees should keep faith in the England U-21 international. There is too much potential in him and it will feel like a missed opportunity if they let him go now and may regret it later.
