Enough is enough: Klopp has to offload these 2 fringe players in January including £12m Rodgers signing

Here are two players Liverpool should offload in January

Liverpool have made a close to perfect start to the league season. They have won six out of the eight games played, drawing the other two against title rivals Chelsea and Manchester City.

Jurgen Klopp and his men have made some fantastic signings over the summer, improving the squad in the process. Apart from that, the Reds now possess proper depth in their bench to call upon when required.

However, as per the evidence of the first few games, they probably still require a creative number 10 to make their squad ready for success. But due to the heavy amount of money they have spent this summer, they may have to offload one or two fringe players to gain funds for buying.

Here are two of them who Liverpool can offload in January:

Alberto Moreno

The Spaniard joined the club in 2014 and hasn’t been able to create positive vibes among the Liverpudlians. His performances are too erratic and error-prone to be even considered for a backup role at left-back.

Alberto Moreno

Andrew Robertson is doing a fantastic job and as far as the current backup is concerned, James Milner is capable of filling in at left-back. The latter played there in the 2016/17 season when Klopp lost faith in Moreno.

Hence, there is no use in keeping a player who is close to being unused at the club due to his underperformances. In fact, in a shock transfer update, Barcelona are interested in signing the Spaniard, who was signed by the Reds for £12m.

Adam Lallana

The former Southampton playmaker was the first name on the team sheet during Klopp’s first season in charge of Liverpool. The English midfielder’s pressing game along with his ability to go past people in the midfield helped in the overall gameplay of the team.

But since his injury at the start of last season, things have gone downwards. Anything less than 100% from a player who indulges running and excessive pressing cannot be accepted in Klopp’s style of play.

With the arrival of Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, the latter of whom will be back by the end of this season with revived fitness, it doesn’t seem like there is a way back for the 30-year-old. Hence, it would be good for him to leave Liverpool in search of playing time.
